Abdouli Siblings Face Harsh Sentences over Twitter Charges

On Monday, the UAE Supreme Court sentenced Amina Abdouli to 5 years sentence and her brother Mos'ab to 7 years imprisonment over twitter charges.

The verdicts are final and cannot be appealed, according to rights sources.

Mos'ab and Amina are currently held in al-Wathba prison, deprived drom family and lawyer visits.

Four sisters and brothers of the Abdouli family were forcibly disappeared in November 2015 in retaliation for their tweets criticising the government. They were held in a secret location for six months. Waleed and Moza Alabdouli were released in March and May 2016 respectively without charge.
