Complete blackout on Ahmed Mansoor’s trial

No information has been released so far about the trial of the Emirati human rights advocator Ahmed Mansoor that took place on 9th May.

Rights sources said that the UAE government has imposed a total blackout on his court sessions, expressing deep concern over his fate.

The award-winning Emirati human rights activist Ahmed Mansoor had received three court hearings so far - one in March 2018, the other on 11 April, and the third one on 9 May.

The trial of Ahmed Mansoor, who was arrested after falling foul of the country's cybercrime laws, is marred by violations of fair trial standards.
