The UAE denies torturing Ahmed Mansoor, prevents UN experts' access to visit him

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation denied all violations suffered by prominent human rights defender Ahmed Mansoor since his arrest in 2017.

The ministry accused human rights NGOs of spreading false information related to Ahmed Mansoor's detention conditions.

However, the UAE authorities continue to deny access to UN experts to visit Mansoor and check on his health situation after declaring a hunger strike more than once in protest against his ill-treatment and poor detention conditions.
