British Government raise the case of Ahmed Mansoor with the Government of the United Arab Emirates

On the 23rd April, Andrew Slaughter (Labour) asked Alistair Burt (Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Office) the following question:

"To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, whether the Government has made representations to the Government of the UAE on the case of the Emirati human rights activist, Ahmed Mansoor."

To which Alistair Burt replied:

"We have raised the case of Ahmed Mansoor with the Government of the United Arab Emirates, most recently on 15 April, and will continue to monitor proceedings."

ICFUAE have submitted a follow up question requesting more information about the representations made on Mansoor's case.
